Junji Itou, manga artist in Japan.

Junji Itou, born in 26 june 1963, in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, He is a horror manga artist in Japan. Itou used ordinary element, thinking and stuff in his creativity and realism style in his work, is look like happening in our real life. His was influence by Umeku Kazuo and kOga Shinichi since him childhood.  In his manga series chronicling an immortal girl who drives her stricken admirers to madness, Uzumaki , a three volume about a toem absessed with spirals, and Gyo, a two volume story where fish are controlled by death stench. Most of his work had produce to movie carreer

Life and Career.

Horror manga was influence to Junji Itou since he was a kinder garden kid because of he borrow the horror manga from his sister. He was addicted by Umeku Kazuo and kOga Shinichi horror manga.His sister had a strong influence to himself, then he started drawing manga at primary school. He start learning inking from pencil work to finished manga with his classmate who interest on manga when he high school. After he finish his high school, he continue his studies in Dental technicians in Nagoya city, Japan. 

 First Published Work.

At 1986, Junji Itou first published his work to Halloween Monthly new work Column by Sonorama company. His manga work "Tomie" had been selected by Haloween Monthly Main Editor. His manga continue to publish every month.

Manga Artist Career.

From 1987 he started his manga career and he haven't resigned his job specialist dental technicians. He worked part time both for 2 to 3 years. He resigned he specialist and put all his spirit into manga. After he selected his love work - Manga Artist.. He created more and more manga work in his career.

At 1999,  his first masterpiece work "Tomie" had produce to movie. After "Tomie", he had more manga work produced to film.


















Manga Style

Most of his manga story is short part to series, including "Tomie". his manga drawing is following the realism. Faces, hair, human figure, emotion was illustrated in detail. In his manga, image proportion, layout and story attract people and feel his horror thinking, like surround atmosphere had changed. 

Story, most of it was a ordinary main character live in a normal life and indirect to a out of normal logical thing to a madness, but physically it look like it can happen to our real life.
